Comparación de la situación sociosanitaria de las poblaciones fronterizas de Perú y Brasil: el caso palestina.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and explain the precarious situation of border populations. The case study is the population of Palestina and Puerto Esperanza, located on the Peru-Brazil border in Ucayali. These are in a condition of abandonment by the Peruvian Government, because it does not provide them with essential resources for their development, such as health, education, commerce and communication with other major cities in the country via highways. In addition, this article aims to make a comparison between the resources granted by the Peruvian Government to the towns of Palestina and Puerto Esperanza, in contrast to the resources granted by the Brazilian Government to the town of Santa Rosa do Purus, which is a worthy example of how the State shows interest and concern for all its localities, even the most remote ones.
