Statistical Methodology to estimate the size of a population, which promotes dangerous events: Application to the case of VRAEM and other situations

In some investigations, the size of a study population is not known, but it is necessary to know it, to achieve the objectives of said investigation; in fact, in some studies, estimating population size is the central objective of the research. For example, in the case of VRAEM, and other situations that arise, it is strategic to know the number of people dedicated to terrorist actions and / or affected by other unforeseen situations that occur, acting on a certain geographical area, because that facilitates, decision making in this regard, to counteract said actions.
