Expert System for Prevalent Disease Consultation in the Medical Service of a University in the San Martín Region

Abstract

The research seeks the design and implementation of an Expert Support System in medical decisions, whose objective is to facilitate and provide doctors with extensive and quality information that will allow them to have options in the decisions to be made. Doctors will be able to count on quick answers to any doubts that may arise, and with this, a higher quality medical service will be achieved.

The statistical data that support this research arise from the results obtained by the studies carried out on the patients and the institution.

In the conclusion it has been possible to demonstrate an optimal functionality of the Expert System and the Medical Service, this Expert System fulfills the function of diagnosis and treatment of diseases, reducing the time of consultation attention and generating acceptance by the patients; Experts in the area have given their support through the knowledge provided so that the Expert System works optimally, so the results obtained are satisfactory. Despite the fact that the results of the Expert System are quite firm and reliable, the only person who will make the final decision is the doctor on duty.
